Keep the lifeline

The UK government is planning to cut Universal Credit by £20 a week this October.

This will be the biggest overnight cut to social security since World War Two and for some families, this will mean losing up to a fifth of their income.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, we have seen a sharp increase in demand for our service, and we’re concerned this situation will worsen if the planned cut goes ahead.
